Sense of an Ending

from Rust by ambientsketchbook

lyrics

I long for a lost world
Of vinyl and fanzines and bootlegs,
Mail order distros, word-of-mouth basement shows
Down back alleys where no-one goes.

Let's drive up the coast,
Leave our phones behind.
I call shotgun.
We'll get old-school lost,
No GPS, no Google Maps;
We'll just keep driving

To the sound
Of 3rd-generation cassette copies
Through friends of friends
Of an import that only one guy in town owns.

We'll run out of fuel,
Strike camp underneath the stars,
Ignore the lights of all the passing cars
And we'll sing till our lungs give out
To ancient hardcore songs.
